People just ...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/8233908.stm
US civic engagement remains in the hands of the middle-class despite hopes that the internet would democratise political involvement.

Those are the findings of a report from the Pew Internet Project.

We have made it trivial to register to vote.  Lowered the voting age. Priced computers so low that anyone who wants one can have one. It is possible for every yahoo with a computer to register their opinion and discuss matters with intelligence and gravitas.

And still, people insist on not voting, not participating, and reading Perez Hilton.

P'haps people just suck.
